Fall Flavors Hit Different Here 🍏🥂

Our day at Champlain Orchards was the perfect mix of autumn charm and flavor. We wandered through rows of trees heavy with fruit, picking all sorts of apples—from Thomas Jefferson’s favorite, the Esopus Spitzenburg, to our personal top pick, the Nova Spy, with its crisp bite and subtle notes of vanilla. Basket by basket, we filled our peck while taking in the orchard’s peaceful scenery.Once we had our fill of apple picking, we headed next door to the cidery, where a flight of Champlain’s handcrafted hard ciders was waiting for us. Each cider carried its own unique character, some even award-winning, ranging from bright and refreshing to bold and complex. It was the perfect way to savor the fruits of the orchard in a whole new form.Before heading home, we couldn’t resist grabbing a warm cider doughnut—sweet, spiced, and the ideal ending to a quintessential Vermont fall outing.
